The western-themed Buffalo Bill's Resort and Casino opened in 1994 on 55 acres immediately north of Primm Valley Resort and Casino and the northbound exit ramp for I-15. The 1,242-room property features 46,000 square feet of casino space, the Desperado (one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world), the Turbo Drop, the Ghost Town Motion Simulator Theatres, the Adventure Canyon Log Flume Ride, a variety of restaurants, a food court, a state-of-the-art video arcade and the 6,000-seat Star of the Desert Arena. The arena features big name acts such as Melissa Etheridge, Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire, and B.B. King. The casino features 1,723 slot machines, 39 table games, live poker and a race and sports book. The hotel originally opened with a 592-room tower and added another tower with 650 rooms in June 1995.
