Who coined the term "The Great Outdoors"? You're pretty sure it was a family returning from Durango. It's the most magnificent slice of Old West Americana you've ever seen. Rafting together along the Animas River was really something special. But you were especially captivated by Mesa Verde - standing in the middle of ancient courtyards and pondering the mysteries of the remarkable cliff dwellings. Another favorite was the famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad chugging past abandoned mines and beautiful mountain scenery.
